The Challenge
An ACM wall standing in the way of progress
During a renovation project, a Viking Build identified a wall containing asbestos-containing material (ACM),a common find in older structures. With deterioration visible and the material presenting a potential risk to workers and the property, progress on the wider build could not safely continue until the wall was properly addressed.
Remion were brought in to carry out a full removal, working closely with Viking Build to fit within the project timeline and ensure zero disruption to the surrounding programme of works.
The site, then and now
Photography taken on-site documents the condition of the asbestos-containing wall prior to works, and the site following Remion’s removal of the ACM wall.
The Work
Before - Site with the identified ACM that needed removing to continue the renovation
After - Remion removed the ACM wall and completed a full decontamination to allow the renovation to continue
Clear communication from start to finish
From the initial survey through to the final clearance, Remion maintained open and proactive communication with both the client and Viking Build throughout. The scope was agreed in advance, the site was prepared and contained correctly. Remion worked efficiently to complete the full removal within a single day.
On-site coordination with Viking Build ensured that handover back to the build team was seamless. With the site ready for the next phase of work.
